Strong start, easy finish
It's been another whirlwind weekend....
Decided to take off to Tampa last night for the Hard Rock Casino at the last minute. Got there around 8:30. It was my first time there and I saw lots to like from the get-go. If my cash ran short...the band wasn't so bad and people watching was premium!
The money went pretty fast, and I spent the remainder of the night dancing to the DJ playing old school tunes. It was a nice way to spend the evening. Only took about 2 hours to get there and the moon was full and bright shining over us along the way. We didn't stay AT the casino though...rooms were all booked. LaQuinta was only about a mile away so we stayed there, complete with Government discount.
Tonight we joined 3 other couples to play games. Apples to Apples first, finishing with CatchPhrase. I was a little intimidated by the latter, but jumped in and gave it my best. At times I grabbed one like a champ...others, the cogs just weren't turning fast enough..lol It was fun though.
One of the fellows at dinner tonight is evidently highly competitive and got angry the last time they all played played. Funny, but we were careful to monitor the situation so as to avoid any conflict. All in all, it was a great day both with friends, and just enjoying each other. Even fit a nap in there...
Tomorrow Diana leaves for NJ for business. I'm looking forward to some alone time. It all goes so quickly though, and she's only gone for 3 nights. Maybe it would be nice to take a weekend to get away. Maybe just a camping trip nearby. I've always relied on others to head up those kinds of trips so it would be an adjustment.
Gonna go turn on some nice Ambient or Coffeehouse and drift off.... Tomorrow is a low key day......
